Good to know
Quality vs sizeA small drop in quality saves a lot of size. Most photos look identical on screen at around 70–85%, so there's no need to go lower than the result you can actually see.
Photos shrink the mostDetailed photos and screenshots compress hard. Flat graphics or logos with few colours are already small, so don't expect much from them.
Don't recompress endlesslyAn image that's already been compressed has little left to give, and squeezing it again mostly just softens it. Start from the original when you can.
