Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. The information we may collect includes:

• Information you provide directly — for example, your email address and username when you create an account, or the contents of a message you send us.
• Information collected automatically when you use Filuni, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit.
• Information gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy for details).

How We Handle Your Files

Filuni is built so that your files stay yours:

• Many tools process your files entirely within your browser — these files are never uploaded to our servers.
• When a tool requires server-side processing, your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection solely to perform the task you requested.
• Uploaded files and their processed results are automatically and permanently deleted within 30 minutes. Signed-in users can also delete them manually at any time.
• We never read, analyze, share or sell the contents of your files.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate and maintain our tools and services
• Respond to your enquiries and send important service notices
• Understand how Filuni is used so we can improve it
• Protect our service against fraud, abuse and security threats

How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it in the limited circumstances described below:

• With your explicit consent
• When required by law, regulation or a valid legal request
• In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you

How We Use Cookies

Advertising and Third-Party Cookies

To keep our service free, we display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Account Deletion (Right to Erasure)

Under GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and equivalent UK GDPR provisions, you have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data.

To delete your account you must be signed in first. Once signed in, use the delete-account button on this page or open the user menu in the top-right corner, then follow the prompts to confirm. Your account will enter a 30-day grace period during which simply signing in again automatically restores it. If you do not sign in within 30 days, all your personal data will be permanently and irreversibly removed by an automated background job.

Delete account

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your profile (username, email, avatar, bio, preferences)
• Your user-generated content (comments, replies, feedback messages)
• Your favorites, bookmarks and saved tool history
• All active login sessions and authentication tokens
• Site cookies tied to your account (advertising cookies are separately controlled via the Cookie Settings link in the footer)

Once the 30-day grace period expires, the permanent deletion is irreversible. Anonymous aggregate analytics (which contain no personally identifying information) and content required by law to be retained (e.g. financial records, fraud-prevention logs) may be kept for legal compliance periods.

Before deleting, you may want to export your data via Settings → Privacy → Data Export.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, data-protection laws such as the EU GDPR and UK GDPR give you the following rights over your personal information:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Request deletion of your personal information (see Account Deletion below)
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information
