Putting your name or handle across a photo marks it as yours before it goes online. This stamps a text watermark over the image, tiled or in one spot, at the position, opacity and angle you choose. It runs in your browser, so the photo isn't uploaded.

Common use cases
Claim your workMark photos or artwork with your name or handle before posting them where they can be reshared.
Flag a statusStamp 'sample', 'proof' or a © line across a preview you send to a client.
Brand a batchAdd the same text mark to a set of images so they're consistently labelled.
Discourage casual reuseA visible mark makes a shared shot harder to pass off as someone else's.
Good to know
Tile or a single markPut one mark in a corner, or tile it across the whole image so it can't simply be cropped off. Set the opacity so it's visible without burying the picture.
It deters, it doesn't lockA visible watermark discourages casual copying, but it isn't real protection. Someone determined can crop or edit it out, though tiling makes that harder.
