Application portals, expense claims, contracts with appendices — plenty of things expect a single PDF, even when your material is spread across separate files. Merging stitches them into one document in the order you choose, so you hand over one clean PDF instead of a stack of attachments.

Good to know

Order is everythingMerging keeps every page exactly as it is and only controls the sequence. Arrange the files in the order you want first, and rotate any sideways PDF before you combine them.
It doesn't shrink the fileThe merged PDF is roughly the sum of its parts. If the pieces are heavy scans, run the result through compression afterward so it's light enough to email.
Any number, any sizeAdd as many PDFs as you need and merge them in one go — a two-page contract and a hundred-page report are handled the same way.
Pull pages first if neededIf you only want a few pages out of a larger file, split or extract them first, then merge — otherwise every page comes along for the ride.
