Q: Is a double-click problem a hardware issue?

Usually yes. When a single press registers as two clicks, the micro-switch inside the button is often worn out (known as chatter). This tool helps confirm it before you repair or replace the mouse.

Q: How short an interval counts as chatter?

Two clicks landing within about 50 ms of each other are almost always unintended. The test shows the shortest interval recorded for each button so you can judge for yourself.

Q: Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. No clicks, movements or results are ever sent to a server.

Q: Which buttons are supported?
